Learning for sustainability

The Global Research Centre for Biosphere Reserve Advancement (C-BRA) is an alliance of scientists and practitioners involved in the management of UNESCO biosphere reserves around the world.

Our mission is to promote biosphere reserves as a tool for sustainable territorial development. This is achieved through a number of activities, including

  • providing a platform for scientific research and knowledge exchange
  • offering advice to decision makers and practitioners
  • promoting international cooperation and networking

Our activities will be unfolding throughout the year 2009. Information will be continuously added to this page, so we encourage you to check back frequently for updates.

We are looking forward to a rewarding and productive exchange!
