Mr. Henry Tesch, Minister for Education, Science and Culture of Mecklenburg - Western Pomerania has kindly offered his patronage (Schirmherrschaft) to the Global Research Centre for Biosphere Reserve Advancement (C-BRA).
Mr. Tesch notably welcomed C-BRA's potential in strengthening linkages between research, policy and regional development within and beyond the borders of Mecklenburg - Western Pomerania.
The Ernst Moritz Arndt University of Greifwald is one of two universities located in the German state of Mecklenburg - Western Pomerania, and provides C-BRA's facilities and institutional backing.
Home to the biosphere reserves Elbetal, Schaalsee and Southeast-Rügen, Mecklenburg - Western Pomerania is also one of two German states with the highest density of biosphere reserves.
